Global Museum Experts Gather at 2025 Museum Summit to Chart Future of Cultural Institutions

On March 10th, the opening ceremony and presentation of the "Final Achievement Exhibition for the Macao Historic Centre Virtual Reality Experience Art Creation Talent Training Program", hosted by the City University of Macao, officially commenced.

As a key practice project selected for the 2024 National Arts Fund's Art Talent Training Support Program, this exhibition explores innovative approaches to cultural heritage preservation, tourism experience enhancement, and digital integration through technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). Its technical innovation and practical value have earned high recognition from the City University of Macao, Macao Tourism Office, and experts in cultural technology.

Theia Digital Technology Delegation Participates in Achievement Expo Inauguration & Presentation

Theia Digital Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Silkroad Visual, served as the technical partner for the online virtual exhibition hall. The company contributed expertise in 3D spatial reconstruction, rendering optimization, and interactive system integration. Through its digital-physical integration solutions, Theia helped build a reusable and scalable digital asset library for Macao's cultural heritage, supporting its long-term preservation and innovative dissemination.

During the event, Theia's team engaged in in-depth discussions with university representatives, Macao Tourism Office officials, and cultural technology experts, exploring application scenarios and industrialization potential of digital heritage technologies.

Technology-Driven

Crafting a "Digital Mirror" for Cultural Heritage

THEIA DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

Accessible via web browsers on both desktop and mobile devices, the virtual exhibition hall allows users to freely "stroll" through digital recreations of Macao's iconic landmarks, including Senado Square and the Church of St. Dominic. Leveraging 3D spatial reconstruction technology, Theia enabled seamless scene transitions and intuitive artwork displays through thoughtful interaction design.

As remarked by Professor Han Wei, Vice President of City University of Macao: "Through VR technology, our trainees present Macao's cultural heritage to the world in groundbreaking ways." Theia's technical framework has laid solid foundations for realizing this vision.

Future Vision

Reshaping Cultural Narratives Through Technology

THEIA DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

Heritage digitization represents both a dialogue between tradition and modernity, and a practical testbed for technological implementation. Guided by its philosophy of "technology serving culture", Theia continues to refine 3D reconstruction precision, cross-platform compatibility, and scene reproduction logic – driving the evolution of cultural heritage dissemination from "cloud exhibition" to "immersive engagement".
